TOPIC: ReadersFirst: Librarians Working Together

ReadersFirst: Librarians Working Together 11 months 1 week ago #429

ReadersFirst is a "movement to improve access and services for public library users." Are you a public librarian who faces the challenges of publishers not being required to sell e-books to libraries and products currently offered by e-content distributors leading to a cumbersome user experience? ReadersFirst invites you to add your library to the list of 109 library systems who endorse the four principles for improved user e-experience laid out here.

I was intrigued by this petition because it is another example of librarians bonding together to work for one of the profession's core values. I'm specifically thinking of the NFAIS Code of Practice for Discovery Systems but what other examples do you have? Reply to this post with a link and information to share with your fellow information professionals.
