What is Pinterest and why should I know about it? Pinterest allows you to add images, videos, and other objects that you discover online to a virtual pinboard. They have more than 10 million users and have been called “2012’s hottest website”.

Why it is important for academic and research libraries? The potential for content sharing, service enhancements, opportunities for collaboration and PR make this a worthwhile resource to use and explore.
