TOPIC: Information Literacy Awareness

Information Literacy Awareness 8 months 1 day ago #483

Did you know that October is National Information Literacy Awareness Month? In today’s information driven world knowing how to find and evaluate information in a critical manner is more important than ever. Having citizens who are well informed enables them to participate in making better decisions in their lives and for all.

What better way to celebrate information literacy than to attend a free webinar hosted by Credo Reference/Libraries Thriving and the National Forum on Information Literacy (NFIL) on Tuesday October 16, 2012? The webinar: From School to Workforce: Information Literacy, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving Skills will focus on key 21st century job skills that all learners will need in order to sustain a personal and professional competitive advantage. You can register for the event by clicking here.
